Main duties of the job
- To act as an advocate for patients and their significant others.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate/standards for documentation, including IT data collection and input.
- Responsible for dealing with patients with disability, special needs, learning difficulties and also acting as a resource for junior staff with these patients.
- To assist the team leader to effectively manage a designated clinical area in line with ABUHB requirements using a problem solving approach.
- Ensure BSG Guidelines regarding disinfection of endoscopes and safe sedation of patients is adhered to.

- Communicate with all nursing and medical staff at all levels.
- Ensure all unit equipment, endoscopes and accessories are maintained and used safely and correctly.
- To ensure all accidents, incidents and complaints are reported and to assist in the investigation of them.
