Staff Nurse Band 5 in the Women's Health Outpatient Department
An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated Staff Nurses with excellent communication skills to work as part of the Outpatient nursing team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to increase their skills by supporting procedure clinics and general consulting clinics. Full training will be given.
The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate an ability to provide high quality safe nursing care which is driven by patient experience and evidence based best practice.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic trained nurse into a band 5 staff nurse post to assist in the delivery of high standards of care. Outpatients hosts a variety of specialities in variety of Outpatient departments, Medical Surgical / Women's Health / Orthopaedics and Robert White Centre. This role is predominantly based in the Women's Health Department, but the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work across all departments.
The successful candidates will be dealing with both staff and patient issues, therefore will be one who demonstrates enthusiasm and motivation, excellent team working skills and forward thinking.

- Work autonomously undertaking holistic assessment examination in order to implement management plans for patients.
- Use specialist knowledge and skills to provide healthcare to patients attending the outpatient department.
- Participate in the delivery of formal and informal teaching for the nursing staff and act as a resource for education and development within the service
- To work as part of the Nursing team in ensuring the delivery and maintenance of a high standard of care that is patient centred and evidence based.
- To contribute towards the smooth running and development of the department through effective teamwork.
- To contribute to the cleanliness and tidiness of the departments environment.
