We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated operational leader who wants to shape and develop our services for older adults experiencing mental health issues and/or dementia. The post will provide service management to two enhanced dementia care homes, the Sheffield Memory Service and the Intermediate Care Mental Health nursing team. We are keen to recruit an individual with leadership and management experience, preferably working with older adults services within health or social care. This role is part of a senior management team and will be operationally responsible and accountable for the services within their portfolio, reporting to the General Manager for Older Adults within our Acute and Community directorate.
Main duties of the job
As part of the older adults leadership team, the post-holder is responsible for managing all aspects of the teams and services within their portfolio, ensuring that the service areas with which they are aligned meet operational and quality objectives and targets. This will include direct line management of clinical managers, operational managers and senior clinical practitioners. The Service Manager in conjunction with the management team will lead on the planning and delivery of service targets and objectives in line with the Trust's annual business planning round, and actively monitor delivery throughout the year, coordinating resources across teams or service areas as necessary. The Service Manager may liaise with commissioning bodies in the development of plans as appropriate.
