An exciting opportunity has arisen for Business Administrator Apprentices within our YHP GP practices. You will provide a high-quality reception, telephone and admin service to support the smooth running of the practice. Main duties will include telephone and face to face contact with patients, visitors and practice staff to project a positive and friendly service. This can be a busy environment and customer services skills and/or experience would be an advantage.

The Business Administrator Apprenticeship level 3 will include regular study days, within contracted working hours and development in functional skills (English and maths) to level 2 if required. Please do not apply for this role if you already hold the Business Administrator Level 3 qualification/award (NVQ or Standard)

Apprenticeship entry requirements:Where a business administrator has not already achieved level 2 functional skills/equivalent English and Math, or equivalent, they must do so before taking the end point assessment. Please ensure you include all your qualifications and grades on your application form - if not included you may not be shortlisted.

Main duties of the job

During the apprenticeship training programme, you will work towards achieving the full requirements of the Job Description and Personal Specification. The training will be provided in-house. We are looking for candidates who have excellent communication skills, a compassionate and friendly nature, together with the ability to work in a demanding environment and an aptitude for great customer service.

You will provide a high quality care navigation service to patients, doctors and colleagues to support the smooth clinical operations of the organisation.

NHS or GP Practice experience is desirable. Previous use of SystmOne is particularly desirable.

About us

This is an exciting opportunity and time to join the team in a forward thinking, developing, busy GP surgeries. We are looking for individuals who want to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

We have 7 GP surgeries within our primary care network and whilst we would like you to have a main surgery to work from, you will be expected to work cross sites as/when it is necessary to support the smooth operations of the outlets.

We are open 365 days from 8am - 8pm Mon-Sat.

We are seeking individuals who have flexibility to cover varied shifts and have flexibility in self to be able to multitask and work under pressure with rapidly changing safety regulations needing to be operationalised.
