Job summary
You will be working alongside our Speciality Trainees and other middle grade doctors. You will be afforded similar training opportunities as our other middle grade doctors and this can be tailored to your requirements and prior experience. There is ample opportunity to develop skills in general cardiology, including diagnostic angiography, permanent pacemaker implantation and echocardiography. As a university teaching hospital there is also the potential to become involved in research projects. Consequently this post will be ideal for those wishing to progress to speciality training in the future or perhaps for more experienced doctors who wish to developing their training with a view to gain a Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration to allow entry onto the Specialist Register. There is no on call commitment for this post.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job will include support to Consultant led ward rounds, Cardiology inreach support to other areas within the Trust and the undertaking of outpatient clinics. There will be opportunity for 2 training sessions per week.
