Job summary

Are you soon to qualify and interested in working in this unique, exciting and challenging specialism? We are seeking a newly and or recently qualified health professional to join our core CAMH service. We will offer you access to clinical and line management supervision as well as feeling part of a team as you learn more about this specialist area of work. You will have access to both external and internal training that will enhance your skills whilst also consolidating and developing your skills as a mental health professional working with children & young people who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health illness. Many of the clinicians who have joined us in the past have progressed to band 6 roles within the service. You will carry a caseload and work both autonomously and within a wider MDT. We are looking for colleagues from nursing, OT, social work backgrounds to enhance our team discipline mix.

Main duties of the job

The service runs primarily from 9- 5 Monday to Friday but as we recover from the pandemic we can offer some flexibility in working hours to suit your work life balance.

Duties in your role include offering mental health assessments and care planning/treatment for moderate to severe mental health illnesses that are experienced by those aged under 18 years. After a period of induction you will carry a caseload where you will work autonomously to deliver the care we aspire too. Training can be offered to support your development. You are expected to engage in supervision and start to identify which evidence-based modality you will want to develop to support service delivery. You will have access to an experienced and varied MDT and become a valued member of our service. We are a countywide service with some cross county working. We offer clinical on site appointments from 3 bases and you will be based in the one that suits your current situation.

This post has been deemed by the Trust as eligible for relocation expenses which will be applicable for suitable successful candidate(s). Please see attached policy for more information.
