We are looking for experienced nurses in General Nursing and some experience in Stroke Nursing would be an advantage to join our team you will share your knowledge and experience with the ward. Whether you are just starting out on your Nursing career, looking for a change of job, working in a Nursing Home or even returning to practice, we would welcome the opportunity to meet with you.

We are a 39 bedded Stroke Unit providing care for both Hyper-acute and acute stroke patients. Thrombolysis is an integral part of stroke care within the units and is available 24 hours over seven days a week.

Main duties of the job

We will provide a supportive atmosphere, mentorship training, clinical support and supervision on the ward and we are committed to professional development of all staff. Team working is an integral part of this ward with all staff are enabled and empowered to make a real difference for their patients. You will need to be well motivated and committed to high standards of patient care and to your personal professional development.

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

  • Generic pre-registration experience in a care environment
  • Ability to undertake further training and development
  • Knowledge of quality, audit and research


Desirable

  • Previous experience of chosen speciality
  • Previous experience of working in a hospital setting


Qualifications

Essential

  • Evidence of diploma level / degree level study
  • Registered General Nurse on the NMC register
  • Evidence of continual professional development


Desirable

  • ECDL Qualification
