Do you want to help lead a fast-paced dynamic team at the forefront of Emergency medicine in one of the most beautiful areas of the country? Due to promotion within the department opportunities have arisen for the right candidate to work as a Deputy Sister or Deputy Charge Nurse within the Emergency Department at Bournemouth.

There is 24/7 Sister cover in ED so the Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse will be supported in their role & will be working alongside a Sister/Charge Nurse who has ultimate responsibility for the department.

The applicant must have two years' experience within an Emergency Department and demonstrable clinical acumen.

Please note: if this post requires you to have a DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the role, on appointment you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed from your salary

Base Location: Bournemouth (with expectation to work cross site when required)

Technical Skills Competencies


  • Ability to undertake additional skills as required.

  • Minimum of 3-4 years post registration experience.
  • Evidence of shift management
  • Experience of leading. motivating and supporting a team


  • Ability to manage change.



  • NMC Registration
  • Diploma or Degree in Adult or Paediatric Nursing
