The Leicester Diabetes Centre is looking for a new research Trial coordinator who is As Trial Coordinator, you willbe responsible for coordinating the recruitment activities acrossProfessor Pratik Choudhary's researchportfolioandsupporting the clinicalresearchteam on specificmulticentre research trials for people with diabetesin particular Type 1 Diabetes and associated clinical trials.

You will liaise closely with a multidisciplinary team including with Prof Choudhary tosupporting his research studies,includingstudysteering groupmeetings, providing regular reports on participants screening and recruits on a weekly basis. In addition, you will complete study related activities as required by the sponsor andstudy steeringgroup.

Main duties of the job

You will have significant experience in an senior administrative role, having worked previously on clinical research projects and programmes, with knowledge of the issues concerning quality and standards in research governance.

Training & Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree or relevant vocational qualification
  • Good general standard of education including 5 GCSEs to include English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Microsoft Office training or significant demonstrable experience.

  • Project Management Qualification

  • Awareness of Ethics, HRA and sponsor approval processes
  • Experience of working in a relevant field with transferable skills
  • Understanding of caring for patients and volunteers in clinical research
  • Experience of preparing and presenting update or summary reports

  • Experience of data collection and data-entry
  • Previous experience as a clinical trial coordinator
  • Creative thinking
