An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified medical practitioner to join Hywel Dda University Health Board's progressive team of medical educators, in the role of Medical Education Teaching Fellow.
This full time teaching fellow role is being offered on a 12month fixed term basis and expectations of the role include supporting undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across all medical specialties, in addition to providing generic teaching sessions for all medical students.
Despite there being no specific clinical service requirement associated with the role, the Health Board will offer clinical sessions to the teaching fellow in a supernumerary capacity, to allow the successful candidate opportunities to keep up to date. On-call sessions will also be optional where there are rota gaps.
Hywel Dda University Health Board will financially support the successful candidate to obtain a formal qualification in medical education (PGCert or PGDip).
Please note: Starting salary is �45,000 per annum. There is no salary scale associated with this role, it will not count towards incremental credit or pay progression.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the role will include:-
-Delivering ward and classroom based teaching for Medical and Physician Associate Students in accordance with relevant curricula and learning needs
-Delivering ward and classroom based teaching and undertaking workplace based assessments for Junior Doctors
- Active involvement in quality improvement activities
