Trust Registrar in Infectious Diseases
We are happy to invite applicants to our ID trust registrar post in Infectious Diseases.
This a full time unbanded post based in our ambulatory ID service at Northwick Park.
Main duties of the job
The Department of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine (ID) at this trust is based at 2 sites including Ealing and Northwick Park and serves an ethnically diverse population of just under 1 million making us one the largest ID departments in the UK. The trust has recently appointed a number of new consultant and registrar posts in Infectious Diseases with the aim of building the best clinical training site for Infectious Diseases in London and a productive academic unit.

Job responsibilities
The aim of the post is to support and enhance our delivery of same day emergency care ( SDEC ) for infection related conditions through our ambulatory IDAR (ID assessment rooms) service with support of the Virtual Ward . You will also work with the other registrars to help deliver a busy ID consult service for those patients with Infection related problems under other teams around the hospital and occasionally provide ward cover.
This is an ideal post for a post IMT level trainee keen on a career in Infectious Disease before they apply for a national training number.
