Band 7 - Clinical Specialist - Cardiac

We are now recruiting nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists with an interest and experience in cardiology at various bands (from bands 5-7). We are looking for clinical staff who are passionate about the care they give to patients and who want to make a real difference in these areas. You will work in and be supported by, a multi-disciplinary care team including nurses, doctors, therapists, psychologists and each long term conditions will be supported with a Professional Lead to support with complex cases and to continuously improve the quality of service that is consistent across the patient's journey.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for organising and prioritising own and others workload in the day to day allocation of work.

To further develop BHR Cardiology services in partnership with Key Stakeholders.

To provide high-quality leadership qualities for the BHR Cardiology team by having and implementing organisational knowledge relating to trust protocols and procedures and supporting all to adhere to them.

Support the development of high - quality cardiology care throughout the cardiology care pathways, supporting others to do the same through integrated and collaborative working.

Starting with NELFTNELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement - LondonThis post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of �3,899 and a maximum payment of �4,968 per annum pro rata).

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

• NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy
• Clinician registered with either NMC or HCPC and a current live registration
• Post-registration courses in cardiology/cardiac care and first level degree or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential

• Non-Medical prescriber
• Evidence of extensive relevant post registration experience in Cardiology Services

Other

Essential

• To be able to travel efficiently throughout the area
