Primarily through the use of cloud-based automation tools, this post will assist in the delivery of cost-effective, risk-controlled, robust, reliable, responsive, and secure automation solutions.

This post will participate in all areas of the automation development lifecycle including identifying automation opportunities, design, versioning control, testing, documentation, technical implementation, and deployment.

The postholder will play a key role in working with the business, and the customers that we support, to identify automation opportunities. The will involve the creation and delivery of IA Services marketing material, in the form of videos, documents, SharePoint site management and delivering presentations to the business on the services that are offered.

They will be responsible for producing, storing, and managing any key design and governance approval documentation and coordinate gaining any governance approvals required during the planning phases.

Working with Process Matter Experts, they will also be responsible for fully and clearly documenting business process to the granulated level of detail this is required for an automated solution. They will also be capturing the non-functional requirements of how the process is conducting a day-to-day basis to ensure the automated solution achieves the maximum business benefits. Working closely with Developers to ensure that that they understand the process described and assist with the creation of their solution design, ensuring they deliver a solution that meets the business requirements.

They will identify or support the creation of all appropriate use cases/process scenarios and their expected outcomes that will be used during the delivery lifecycle for the process, including any exception handling outcomes that may be needed. They will be required to support, assess, and validate the automated activities with a Process Matter Expert (PME) during any verification and user acceptance testing as this will determine if a solution has fulfilled the requirements, working with PMEs and Process Owner to ensure sign off is obtained for the process requirements.

Acting as a central point of knowledge and control for business processes, communicating with the Developers, Process Matter Experts (PMEs) and the business Process

We provide automation solutions across multiple organisations that ICT support. We are also working with our neighbouring NHS organisations on an ICS wide RPA implementation to ensure we develop a shared Centre of Excellence for the automation of business processes.
