We are about to embark on one of the biggest transformation programmes our Trust has ever seen. Our Electronic Health Record (EHR) will enhance the work of nearly everyone in the Trust, and also the experience of anyone who access our services receives.

We're looking an Infrastructure Lead to support us and will be responsible for the implementation, evaluation and documentation of the technical design for the EHR programme.

You will be an expert infrastructure and cybersecurity knowledge, experience and skills. Reviewing and developing the IT Infrastructure in line with industry best practice ensuring this fits with the future direction of the health economy and the EHR programme.

Main duties of the job

The role is critical in supporting the delivery of the Trust's digital strategy and the strategic priorities in PAHT2030, a new EHR is also critical to our readiness for our new hospital. The role reports to the responsible EHR Programme Manager with whom they will agree their work plan and expected outcomes.

You'll be working across the organisational boundaries, influencing decisions where appropriate, negotiating areas of improvement, seeking agreement and co-operation but always managing user expectations to ensure that they are aligned to the available resources.

• Ensure the Trust Strategy, Digital Strategy and ICT Strategy, including values and principles, are driven into the EHR Technical workstream.
• Conduct workforce planning to ensure that the right people with the right skills are in place to support the technical workstream.
• Ensure rigorous performance monitoring to deliver best practice ITSM.
• Facilitate application of high-quality standards and processes, e.g., requirements definition, change control, etc. in collaboration with ICT, clinical and service teams.
• Understand Business Process and document as necessary

Person Specification

Education

Essential

• Degree in Computer Science or IT related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Postgraduate qualification or evidence of pursuit of further IT academic knowledge.

Experience

Essential

• Experience in complex projects
• Experience of working in a management role within the NHS or similar large complex environment.
• Sound technical knowledge and understanding of ITSM

Desirable

• Cerner experience
