An exciting opportunity had arisen for an experienced clinical professional to join our team. We are seeking a highly pro-active, motivated, dynamic, and passionate individual with a clinical background who is committed to positively influencing clinical services.

Main duties of the job

The role will include:
  • Working with Commissioners and Providers on the development of specialist treatment packages that are both efficient and effective.
  • Working with internal clinical teams to support the facilitation of discharges for individuals who are CRFD.
  • Providing support, input, and clinical challenge to the Trust's Enhanced Bed Management Service in relation to the utilisation of acute out of area beds.

Given the challenges that we face we are seeking an individual who has a broad range of experience in service delivery, leadership and management who can use their personal and professional experiences in a positive way. The successful candidate needs to be confident and capable of working within an ever-changing environment.

You will possess excellent communication and leadership skills.

You will have extensive understanding and knowledge of mental health, autism, learning disabilities and Children's Services.

The role will be based in the south locality (Sunderland) with an expectation of travel throughout the Trust, however hybrid working will be available.

The successful candidate will have development opportunities as well as ongoing support via supervision and appraisal.

Education and Qualification

Essential

  • Professional / Clinical knowledge and extensive understanding and experience of mental health, autism, learning disabilities and children's services
  • Educated to at least degree level plus further masters education training or experience in health service management.
  • Health or social care professional qualification
  • Evidence of continuous professional development and learning in mental health, autism, learning disabilities and children's services.


Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Significant complex and specialist commissioning experience
  • Experience of managing individual, highly complex packages of care.
  • Proven track record and experience of successful working in a multi-professional/ multi-disciplinary forums - both internal and external
  • Extensive experience of mental health, autism, learning disabilities and children's services
  • Track record of achievement in the development and delivery of improved services
  • Experience of managing individual, highly complex packages of care.
  • Outcomes within time and budget parameters
  • Significant experience and knowledge of financial management


Skills and Competencies

Essential

  • Ability to work in a multi-professional environment, at a senior level both internal and external to the trust
  • Track record of achievement in the development and delivery of improved services
