This is an exciting time to join the People and Organisational Development Directorate here at United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust. We are currently implementing the outcomes of an ambitious People and Organisational Development restructure to reshape our service and deliver an improved people and organisational development service to the Trust.

This is a varied, challenging but most of all hugely rewarding role. Reporting to the People Systems Manager in rolling out Manager Self Service (MSS) and developing Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system and Automated Sickness Absence (AMS) system and its associated interfaces. This will include maintenance, planning, training and implementation of changes to the ESR and AMS Systems ensuring that there is a proactive approach and functionality is developed accordingly to support Trust and departmental objectives and strategies.

The role will require a customer focused, quality driven approach to working with a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation and more widely in the Lincolnshire ICS.

Main duties of the job

This role involves the development and support of a defined programme of work. Supporting the Implementing ESR MSS using highly specialist knowledge of the system and maintain a comprehensive advanced knowledge of the ESR system and ESR interfaces/end to end processes in order to ensure correct, efficient and timely production of data output and the development of the ESR system.

The role is demanding and varied and will require an individual who can manage multiple projects, often to tight deadlines.

The job description itself may be amended from time to time in consultation with the post holder, within the scope and general level of responsibility attached to the post.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Level 6 standard of education (e.g. undergraduate degree) or equivalent experience
  • CIPD Level 5 (Associate Diploma) or equivalent qualification or experience
  • Experience of continuing professional development


Desirable

  • Job Evaluation Training
  • Project Management Qualification
  • GDPR Training
  • Level 2 Certified English and Maths (GCSE/Functional Skills) as this is a requirement for many learning programmes/professional development pathways


Experience

Essential

  • Evidence of working in a large and complex organisation
  • Understanding of employment law and its application in policies and procedures
  • Experience of Supporting the implementation of Electronic Staff Record (ESR) and Oracle LMS system or IT system within complex organisation
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting information to make decisions, develop solutions and solve complex problems
  • Experience of implementing systems and processes and developing standard operating procedures or guidance on application of policy
  • Ability to take responsibility for and resolve complex issues, undertaking research to develop options and taking appropriate advice and guidance. Understands when to escalate issues
  • Knowledge and understanding of working in a wider system of integrated care
  • Experience of supervising a group of staff and overseeing the day-to-day running of a team


Desirable

  • Previous Public Sector/NHS experience
  • Experience of dealing with financial accountability and procurement systems (preferably in a public sector environment)
  • Knowledge of GDPR and how it is used in relation to the work carried out

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas and engage people
  • Confident in using ICT systems relevant to role, including Management Information Systems and MS Office
