New Beginnings (Drug and Alcohol Service) is looking for a permanent Band 6 Alcohol Nurse to work as part of the Addictions team.
New Beginnings offers a range of treatments and services for adults and young people in the borough of Brent. We are committed to working in partnership with partners, and service users to provide a variety of psycho-social, criminal justice and social care interventions. Our substance misuse services are dedicated to helping reduce the harm caused by substance misuse dependency helping people overcome their dependency on substances and helping clients and their families rebuild their lives and enable recovery.
The successful post holder will need to be a Registered Mental Nurse/ RGN Registered General Nurse, working in a busy drug and alcohol service. Must be able to manage a caseload and responsible for delivering high standards of nursing care. The Band 6 nurse will be expected to be able to assess and manage substance misuse clients by applying the concepts of harm minimisation approaches, relapse prevention, motivational Interviewing, detoxification programmes and rehabilitation according to their clinical needs, and in accordance with up-to-date evidence-based practice and relevant Trust clinical protocol and policies.
