Job summary
The Acute Assessment unit at St. Ann's Hospital in Poole, are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 RMN to join the team.
Seaview ward is a 14 bedded acute assessment unit for male and female adultsproviding a high quality of care and treatment for patients who have physical, social, psychological and emotional health needs. The purpose of the ward is to offer comprehensive assessments and treatment enabling Service Users to have shorter stays in hospital and to develop clear plans of care.
We are looking for a motivated Band 6 RMN who has excellent clinical skills, team player to work in a highly motivated supported environment. Joining us on Seaview you will become a valued member of our team with regular supervision. We promote a calm and therapeutic approach, enabling patients to overcome their current difficulties and move forwards with their recovery.
We have a variety of flexible shifts including part time and full time to support your needs:
Early 07:15 - 15:15
Late 13:00 - 21:00
Long Day 07:15 - 21:00
Twilight 16:00 - 00:00

Main duties of the job
The Multi-disciplinary team on the Ward provides treatment and care for a wide range of mental health illnesses which include Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Depression, Anxiety and Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder. The aim of all staff is to provide a high quality of care and treatment for patients who have physical, social, psychological and emotional health needs and enable them to return home with support from the Home Treatment Team and / or their Community Mental Health Team.We guarantee that no two days will be the same and that you will be helping to make a real difference to our patients lives.
Clinical Team Leaders undertake a dual clinical and leadership role; acting as a deputy for the Ward Manager. They play a key role in the day-to-day management of ward; are a main point of contact for advice/decisions and will support, supervise and manage staff. They also assist in the delivery of local and nationally required outcomes and will often be given a lead role to manage in their own right.
You will need to ideally have at least 2 years experience as an RMN and also have completed your mentorship in practice.
