Job summary
This is an exceptional opportunity for an enthusiastic Executive Assistant (EA) to provide support at Board Level based in the Executive Office.
Primarily supporting the Chief People Officer and their deputy, the Trust are looking for an EA with a keen interest in Human Resources. For this role, the candidate will be responsible for proactive diary and email management, arranging in-house meetings, minuting meetings, preparing presentations and making travel arrangements as well as other ad hoc duties. You will be used to constant prioritisation, acting as a gatekeeper and playing an ambassadorial role in the absence of the Executives you support, whilst working closely with senior management and external partner organisations.
You will have ideally supported at an Executive Assistant level before and understand the need to have skills such as being flexible, approachable and professional who is used to working to deadlines. You will require effective communication skills, bring innovative thinking and work well in a team. Experience of working in a highly confidential environment desirable.
Salary range: Band 5
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide an efficient and effective Executive Assistant and secretarial service to the Executive Directors, Non-Executive Directors and Executive Office Team including the handling of routine and non-routine duties.
The successful candidate will have delegated authority and responsibility to act independently. The Executive Assistant will be expected to organise their workload and co-ordinate their activities in conjunction with and supervised by the Executive Office Manager to ensure that an efficient service is provided.
It is essential that the post holder can exercise initiative suitable to the role and is fully supportive to other colleagues in the Executive Office team.
