Main duties of the job
- Accountable to the Head of Domestic Services and will support the delivery of national, regional, and local directives in an ever-changing NHS Landscape.
- Provide effective leadership to the ward-based services management team ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective, value for money, customer focused environmental decontamination, general cleaning service and food and beverage provision at ward level to meet the needs of patient's, visitors, and staff.
- Provide assistance in the implementation of any service developments which impact upon the operational ward-based services or general cleaning service for example and in particular the outputs of the Ward Based Services Review.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders such as the IPC team, clinical colleagues, estates colleagues and external service/goods providers.
- Deputise for the Head of Domestic Services as required in relation to the operational cleaning service provision.

Education and Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
- Post-graduate degree in Management Studies or significant equivalent experience
- Food Safety Level 3
- Evidence of continued professional development in the field
Desirable
- Formal training on Microsoft packages or equivalent demonstrable experience

- Substantial relevant management experience within the NHS or other large organisation at a senior level within Facilities Management Services
- Evidence of financial management experience within a large complex organisation
