We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and motivated Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team. You will form an integral part of the Wythenshawe Hospital Cardiac Rehab Service, delivering a comprehensive service at both the hospital site and at our community venues.

Applicants should demonstrate excellent clinical and organisational skills. We require someone who is a good team worker, and communicator who is flexible and who is prepared to maintain high standards of evidence based clinical practice.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have experience of working in an outpatient cardiac rehabilitation service
  • Have experience working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Have experience supervising and training physio students and support staff

Main duties of the job

Delivering comprehensive assessments, holistic patient care and prescribing and delivering exercise that is safe and effective is a top priority. You will contribute to NACR, Service development, IST and the weekend rota. You will supervise support staff, physios and Students.

Essential

  • Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • BSc / Physiotherapy MSc
  • Health Professions Council Registration
  • CPD portfolio


Desirable

  • Relevant post-graduate course
  • CSP member
  • BACPR training


Experience

Essential

  • Previous post graduate clinical experience
  • Post graduate experience as a junior in a broad rotational post
  • Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Supervision and education of less experienced staff, and assistants


Desirable

  • Knowledge of the working of community physiotherapy services
  • Involvement with audit and research
  • Membership of department/Trust groups e.g. Health and Safety


Knowledge

Essential

  • Understanding of clinical governance and its implications for practice
  • Well developed contemporary theoretical underpinning knowledge of physiotherapy

  • Awareness of the political / national situation
