Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated physiotherapist to join our Outpatients Therapy Team at Weston General Hospital, part of UHBW NHS Foundations Trust (CQC rated Good). This is a fixed term, full-time post based at Weston General Hospital.
The role is a maternity cover position supporting and managing referrals from the Rheumatology multidisciplinary team in UHBW. Your role is based within the MSK Outpatient Therapies Dept, working closely with the clinical and admin teams within MSK Physiotherapy, as well as the Rheumatology MDT. Previous experience in treating Rheumatology patients is desirable.
You will be supported by highly skilled and experienced band 7s, the wider MSK team and the Adult Therapies MSK Pathway and Divisional Lead. You will have the opportunity to participate in a robust in-service-training .
Main duties of the job
Static band 5 physiotherapist roles require previous experience across different core rotations. The post-holder will act as an autonomous practitioner, providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment, and managing their own patient caseload within a speciality team, with the support and mentoring of senior specialist physiotherapists. They will supervise and train junior members of staff, Technical Instructors and Students as required. The post-holder will support and manage Rheumatology Team referrals as part of the Musculoskeletal Therapy service
Working patterns include late working shifts and may include weekend working.
