Job summary
The post holder is required to be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
To support the Senior staff with the running of a busy Trauma & Orthopaedic ward on a shift by shift basis and take charge of the clinical area in the absence of the person who has continuing responsibility or his/her deputy.
To be responsible for the assessment, planning implementation andevaluation of care.
To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team.
To develop an understanding of the requirements of the National ServiceFramework.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for two enthusiastic nurses to join our Trauma Team.
Applicants must have full NMC Registration.
Ward 4.2 is a busy stepdown trauma ward looking after a range of patients with trauma needs. The successful applicants must have an interest in trauma, have excellent communication skills and work well in a multidisciplinary team. Sound assessment skills are vital.
Individuals must be motivated, enthusiastic and reliable. You must be a team player who is committed to improving the patient experience.
The ward aims to give high quality care to their trauma patients and the new team member must be committed to continual service improvement within these specialities. This post would enable applicants to access the Journey of Excellence (JoE) professional development programme aligned to the learning and development opportunities offered within the Health Board.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
