We are a large inclusive team of maternity staff working across Queen Charlottes & Chelsea and St. Mary's Hospitals and community. We strive to deliver a high quality of service while utilising our staff strengths and encouraging continued professional development. We work with a diverse caseload of service users including low risk and complex pregnancies. We offer rotational positions and have exposure to innovative resources and developments within maternity.

Main duties of the job
To work flexibly within the team to provide 24 hour cover for antenatal and postnatal wards, labour ward, and community on a rotational basis. This will require internal rotation between areas and day/night duty.
This is a rotational midwifery post allowing for development and experience to be gained by working as an integral member of the midwifery team.
As a new entrant you will be working autonomously and will be accountable for your own professional actions, providing woman/people centred care and working in a manner that promotes dignity and respect.
This is a recognised preceptorship period to consolidate experience, build confidence and gain core competencies within a given timeframe, to attain the knowledge and skills for Band 6 experienced midwife.
