This is a new role that can influence the service development and will expand the overall People and Workforce Analytical skills of the wider HR & OD Team.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide analysis of workforce data for the benefit of short- and longer-term workforce planning, transformation, and other priority workforce-related projects within the Trust. For the wider benefit of Trust patient-facing services and to improve patient care.
Working closely with the Digital Workforce Lead, you will develop, deliver, and maintain analysis of workforce metrics for statutory and workforce planning purposes. You will also provide expertise to the wider HR, Workforce, Finance and Care Groups for the benefit of workforce planning in line with the NHS Long Term Plan.
The new postholder will develop the core capacity of the wider HR & OD team in using Workforce and People Analytics as a core component of decision making and contribute to the review and improvement of the wider service offered.

Robust demonstrable relational database experience including extraction and manipulation of data
Previous experience in a role requiring the production and analysis of information/data
Advanced level of information analysis knowledgeUnderstanding of NHS workforce challenges and the role of data analysis in relation to these
Technical knowledge of workforce data available via ESR, including definitions, terminology, and ability to maintain accurate recordsAdvanced level use of Microsoft package- specifically Excel, PowerBI
Expert skills in data extraction , including the production of tailored reportsAbility to produce and explain highly complex data, that may be contentious
Excellent IT & keyboard skills
Ability to plan work to meet deadlines
Prepare high quality written reports for Care Group, Corporate meetings and Committees, able to recommend actions arising from data analysis
Ability to explain complex data for a variety of audiences
