This is an exciting time to join the People Directorate at Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust. We are implementing a new E-rostering system and building our rostering team to support this exciting development in our resourcing systems. You will be part of our Resourcing Service in this new team joining our other teams in the service: recruitment and temporary staffing.

We are looking to recruit a E-roster Facilitator to assist in the implementation of the rostering system and support the day-to-day usage of the e-Rostering supporting users with advice and guidance on using the system and effective rostering principles.
  • 37.5 Hours per week


Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for delivering training on the E-rostering system and other linked systems, Safecare, reporting and analysis, and data cleansing and validation

You will have experience of supporting systems in a demanding environment, NHS Electronic Staff Records (ESR) and experience of using an electronic roster system

You will have experience of providing training in groups and/or on a one-to-one basis, delivering presentations and producing User Guides.

We will provide you with training on the E-rostering to support your current knowledge, the post can be flexible with work hours and can offer a mix of both onsite and remote working.

Job description

Job responsibilities

To act as a resource and trouble shooter for all aspects of the e-roster

Provide software helpdesk support and guidance as required by telephone, email or in person.

Assist the e-roster manager in the day-to-day responsibility for the implementation, organisation and management of e-roster.

To provide support in the implementation of e-roster to team leads/managers

To act as the first point of escalation for technical queries and system configuration from the e-roster Administrator

To work with departments to map out ongoing training requirements and implementation rollout, adjusting plans where required

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or experience
  • Evidence of continuing personal development


Experience

Essential

  • Extensive experience supporting systems in a demanding environment
  • Previous experience of using an electronic rostering system to administer and manage rosters
  • Experience of NHS Electronic Staff Record (ESR)
  • Experience of providing a technical support service to end users
  • Experience of providing training in groups and/or on a one to one basis


Knowledge and skills

Essential

  • Detailed technical knowledge of an electronic e-rostering system functionality i.e. Allocate
  • Proficient user of IT software packages, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Knowledge and understanding of the off-duty process and rostering issues
  • Awareness of HR and payroll processes and systems
  • Understanding of working regulations and guidelines including European Working Time Directive (EWTD), NHS Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions, Doctors in Training, Consultants etc.
