Job summary
To ensure high standard service delivery we have to invest in our patient and staff facilities. This responsibility sits with the Capital Planning and Development Team, who are driven to create improved and vibrant buildings and services for our colleagues, our patients and our communities.
University Hospital Birmingham (UHB) is one of the largest NHS Trusts in the country - Our property portfolio comprises of 200+ buildings with over 200,000m of floor space across four main sites at Solihull, Heartlands, Queen Elizabeth and Good Hope -- in addition, we have 50+ satellite sites located within land assets of 60+ hectares spread across local communities.
With exciting large scale plans for growth and extensive transformation plans -- UHB has recognised its need for additional colleagues to join our friendly team to best support these initiatives to ensure we deliver excellent patient care and safe working environments for staff and visitors.
Working in conjunction with the Associate Director of Strategic Capital Planning and Developments (CP&D) you will work within a team of Senior Project Advisors, Project Managers, and Senior Operational Leads along with wider Trust colleagues to develop project plans and programmes of activity within the CP&D strategic plan. This will see you developing feasibility reports and business cases whilst delivering transformational and operational change across UHB.
Main duties of the job
Success in your application will see you able to demonstrate your knowledge of high-quality programme management, strategic and operational planning and control of work streams. Ideally your experience will include aspects of Engineering, Planning, Construction, and Technical ideally within a healthcare setting.
As the successful candidate, you will be a confident leader who is innovative and a visionary with the ability to make strategic decisions based on your analytical thinking and sound judgement. You will have highly developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to persuade, influence and negotiate to achieve successful outcomes.
