Job summary

Due to the substantive postholder being promoted, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our Contracts Team as an Overseas Visitors Manager.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the Trust complies with latest OSV guidance, as issued and updated from time-to-time, and generating the associated income. We are looking for an individual with an understanding and experience of working with the OSV agenda: this is a new and fast-changing area of expertise. The postholder will report to the Head of Contracts.

You will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver complex information to non-technical audiences on a regular basis, including interacting with patients/service users on a frequent basis.

Person Specification

Educational Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
  • Diploma in finance related area or equivalent experience
  • ECDL or equivalent experience


Desirable

  • Prince 2 Project Management Qualification
  • Management qualification level or equivalent experience at a management level


Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Knowledge of the NHS Constitution, the Trust vision, values and strategic objectives, and the current change agenda
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Experience of risk, issue and project change management
  • Experience of working across organisational boundaries and of delivery projects across multi-disciplined sites working with multiple stakeholders


Desirable

  • Ideally 6 months experience within a similar role


Skiils and Abilities

Essential

  • Strong numeracy, analytical and judgement skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to handle issues of an extremely delicate nature in an appropriate and confidential way
  • Able to provide and receive highly complex, sensitive or contentious information, negotiate with senior stakeholders on different and controversial issues
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and the public
