Job summary
An exciting opportunity is opening up for an experienced Associate Director of Digital Portfolio. You will be an integral part of the Northern Care Alliance Digital senior leadership team, supporting the Chief Digital and Information Officer to deliver a well-led Informatics and Digital service across one of the largest NHS Foundation Trusts in the country.
This role is key to the overall strategic direction of our Informatics and Digital Services and will be accountable for shaping and evolving our digital portfolio management function as we continue to create a single service from three legacy organisations.
The postholder will be required to work across our NCA sites as well as travel to community sites as required. We encourage agile working at the NCA, so there is also the opportunity for some remote working.
Main duties of the job
You will take responsibility for shaping and evolving the Portfolio Management function to drive efficient ways of working, derive value as part of project delivery and to embed a repeatable NCA wide change methodology. Working across all areas of the NCA and closely with the Chief Delivery Officer's teams the Associate Director of Digital Portfolio will be responsible for embedding digital change governance methods and approaches, overseeing all project change teams and the Portfolio Management Office, and include the delivery of all digital changes across the organisation that require project disciplines.
You will have responsibility for identifying and managing risks and dependencies across the digital portfolio and evolving an effective PMO. If you also have a passion for leading and developing teams to high levels of performance, then you are the kind of colleague we are looking for.
You will work closely with the Chief Digital and Information Officer, the Chief Delivery Officer and across the NCA to support programme and project delivery of the Trust's Digital Strategy as well as in supporting the NCA in overseeing and prioritisation of the wider change portfolio which has digital dependencies.

- Educated to a minimum of Masters degree level, or equivalent post graduate qualification
- Degree level or equivalent qualification specifically in IT/Informatics
- IT Service Management (ITSM) certifications
- Evidence of management development through Continuous Professional Development and/or formal management course
