Job summary
This is an exciting time to join the People Directorate at Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust. We are implementing new systems and building our resourcing teams to support these exciting developments in our resourcing systems. You will be part of our Resourcing Service leading our recruitment team and joining our other teams in the service: e-rostering and temporary staffing.
We are looking to recruit a Recruitment Lead to join our team to help us deliver an outstanding service to our candidates.
You will be responsible for recruitment administration across the Trust and will have day to day management responsibilities for the recruitment team to ensure excellent levels of service are achieved.
You will work closely with the Senior Resourcing Lead as well as the wider teams within the Trust. You will ensure all recruitment, particularly recruitment administration, is completed safely, accurately and within the recruitment services key performance indicators.
You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience. You will be CIPD Qualified (CIPD Diploma Level 5) and will also have recruitment administration experience with significant experience of NHS Jobs or other online recruitment systems.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate their experience and skills within a recruitment setting and have a drive to deliver.

Main duties of the job
Responsible for the timely, effective and accurate production and processing of recruitment paperwork by the recruitment team.
Provide operational advice, support and assistance to the recruitment team and to serve as the first point of escalation for recruitment queries or problems and policy interpretation issues, providing guidance and intervention when needed to resolve these.
Act as system administrator for recruitment systems to maximise effectiveness of the recruitment service.
Maintain and develop clear process documents/maps and training procedures to ensure that all members of the team are trained to follow agreed processes.

Responsible for supervising and monitoring the work of the Recruitment Administrators to ensure the workload is of high quality and carried out to a high standard in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
Ensure recruitment activity, including employment checks, are carried out in a timely manner, meeting internal quality standards and KPIs, relevant national frameworks and legal requirements.
Assist the Head of Resourcing/Senior Resourcing Lead in producing and maintaining supporting information for managers and staff regarding recruitment and selection, such as updating recruitment pages on the intranet and Trusts external website.
Assist the Head of Resourcing/ Senior Resourcing Lead in the review of processes, procedures and systems to support continuous service improvements, developing, recommending, initiating and implementing changes to promote the use of up to date methods and technologies (where available) to improve quality control, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Advise and coach the recruitment team in recruitment process and best practice (such as DBS, UK Visas and Immigration (UKV&I), employment checks and Trust requirements).
Work in close partnership with OD, payroll, IT, and recruiting managers to ensure the delivery of a high quality on-boarding experience for customers.

- Working knowledge of NHS HR systems, such as ESR and NHS Jobs
- Working knowledge of NHS terms and conditions of employment.

- Knowledge of Equality and Diversity legislation
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK Visa & Immigration requirements for the prevention of illegal working.
