An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Fellow in Urology at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Boardbased at Glan Clwyd Hospital.

The post holder would be actively involved in the care of urological patients as part of the team.

As part of the Health Board's strategic collaboration with Bangor University, individuals with an interest in teaching and research who can demonstrate and agree a possible contribution to the School can be considered and nominated for recognition through the University's process for granting honorary titlesand help to deliver our shared vision for the North Wales School of Medicine and Health.

Main duties of the job

Department of Urology at Glan Clwyd has a dedicated, purpose built Urology Diagnostic unit with 6 bedded ward, Endoscopy suite and clinic rooms. It also houses rooms for one stop clinics and our resident Lithotripter machine.

The A55 dual carriageway gives rapid access to the national motorway network and the cities of Liverpool and Manchester are about 1-hour's drive away. Rhyl Railway Station is on the main London to Holyhead line, with a fastest direct journey of 3 hours

Qualifications

Essential

  • Full GMC registration


Desirable

  • Recent ALS, ATLS, APLS certification


Experience

  • Complete foundation year 1 and 2 or equivalent

  • Able to perform venepuncture, catherisation
