An exciting role has become available at Basildon Hospital for a Physiotherapist looking to specialise in respiratory care. Rotations across 2 critical cares, acute medical and respiratory wards and respiratory out patient clinics allows the successful candidate to develop their knowledge of respiratory care in a friendly, supportive environment.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be rotational based within the Cardiorespiratory team providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment to adult patients on the acute medical wards and critical care.

There is also opportunities to gain experience in the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre, a tertiary centre providing specialist cardiology and cardiothoracic care.

We are a friendly, supportive team with a wealth of skilled senior clinicians, including 2 clinical specialists who have a passion for respiratory and developing staff in this exciting field of physiotherapy.

Regular critical care MDT training sessions are held for the band 6 physiotherapists in the team facilitating learning and development.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • HCPC state registered Physiotherapist
  • Degree in Physiotherapy


Knowledge and skills

Essential

  • Band 5 core rotations including respiratory and critical care


Desirable

  • on call experience
  • evidence of staff supervision
