An exciting opportunity has arisen for a professionally registered Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist/ Clinical Psychologist / Counselling Psychologist or Psychotherapist with solid experience in Low Intensity interventions to join a high performing and creative management team within Newham Talking Therapies, Centre for Clinical Excellence.
We are one of the leading national IAPT services and we are keen to recruit an experienced clinician who is passionate about quality improvement to take us to the next level in providing effective LI interventions to our complex and diverse population in Newham.
Main duties of the job
You will be joining a dynamic management team and support the service in delivering the main KPIs by providing creative leadership to the LI team and supporting the performance and development of a small team of therapists under your direct line management.
With the support of the Deputy Clinical Lead, you will be leading on the development and coordination of Low Intensity provision for Newham Talking Therapies and be proactive in capacity planning and KPI delivery within this area.
You will receive on-going supervision as well as professional support and be encouraged to continue your professional development.

Qualifications
Essential
- Postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS and registered with HPC. Fully accredited by BABCP OR Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (Post Graduate Diploma level or above) with full BABCP accreditation OR Psychological Therapist with qualification equal to Masters level or core mental health training e.g. nursing, social work. Accredited by BABCP or working towards this.
- Above plus: Post Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Interventions or equivalent
Experience

- Supervision training: IAPT course or other appropriate supervision course
- Experience of working with LI interventions in an IAPT setting delivering evidence based psychological interventions
- Experience in line & case management of qualified staff: PWP and HI therapists (in a IAPT or Primary Care setting)
- Excellence and experience in IT and diary management that support own and the service's clinical resources.
- Experience of working across various mental health services, including severe and complex mental health services.
- Experience in the continuous improvement and coordinating the services of a range of practitioners and providers, with experience of delivering this within primary care and an IAPT compliant service.

- Able to demonstrate expertise in one or more therapeutic orientations, or with one or more areas of clinical presentation.
- Excellent reporting and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of, and ability to apply, government/advisory body frameworks and guidelines relating to mental health.

- Able to organize and deliver teaching and training.
