We have an exciting opportunity for a registered health professional to join the Clinical Education Team at Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The roles are central to the delivery of education and practice development within the clinical workforce, through program design and delivery, work-based learning, clinical support, education, and training.
Please note this role jointly supports education and clinical skills delivery to the Clinical workforce including Medical and non-medical students in addition to supporting the wider delivery of education needs within the trust. The role is fundamental to ensuring quality clinical placements of medical and non-medical students and apprentices thus supporting a robust assessment and evaluation process.
The post will enable the right candidate to develop their own portfolio in teaching, training and understanding learning as well as being supported in their own development as an educator. This is a fantastic opportunity for personal and professional development and is an exciting time to join the education teams within the new Heart and Lung research institute.
Main duties of the job
Learner Support in Practice
Assist in the development and maintenance of quality clinical placements and evaluation processes
Support continuing development of the clinical learning environment
To support the assurance of quality supervision and assessment in the clinical placement area
Support the design, delivery, and evaluation of corporate and local inductions
Assist in supporting and referring learners in difficulty and where additional support has been requested / identified
Clinical & Medical Education Support
work collaboratively with the multiprofessional teams to design and deliver recognised training programs
To contribute to the scoping of training requirements across the trust via the training needs analysis
Ensure that training is progressed in conjunction with other developments of current and emergent local and national policy, strategy, and legislation
Provide guidance and support to individuals undertaking academic studies
Clinical Skills Training
Support the Clinical & Medical Education Team in the co-ordination and delivery of clinical and mandatory training programmes
Support clinical areas in expediting the acquisition of skills by providing local training and assessment
Act as a train the trainer for high use items
