Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, motivated and enthusiastic Contracts & Collaborative Commissioning Officer to join Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT).

This dynamic role shall work across both NHFT Contract Management, and the Provider Collaborative Commissioning Hub hosted by NHFT. There are direct synergies between the two aspects of the role, and the post-holder will report into the Head of Contracts and Commissioning, who is responsible for all contract requirements across the Trust.

NHFT has a portfolio of contracts in excess of 250M per-annum, including specialised, secure and community mental health and nursing services for both adults and children. The Trust has a range of Commissioners including: NHS England, Local ICB's, Acute Providers, and Local Councils. This will ensure the post-holder will be exposed to a broad range of services.

Our Provider Collaborative brings together the providers of CAMHS Tier 4 services and Adult Eating Disorder services across the East Midlands to work together in a new partnership, to reduce delays, gaps in service and improve outcomes for the service users, their families and carers. Our Team leads and facilitates the case management, contracting, finance, business intelligence and organisational development to deliver new ways of working. NHFT hosts the commissioning team for both CAHMS Tier 4 and Adult Eating Disorders.

Main duties of the job

It is expected that the chosen candidate be a team player, have a strong work ethic, excellent relationship management skills and sense of accountability whilst supporting the Head of Contracts and Commissioning to deliver an effective and efficient contract management function.

We want to recruit a diverse workforce, who are values driven, compassionate and have a desire to deliver high quality care every day. This role is about planning for the future and making sure the actions we take today will maintain the long-term financial sustainability of the trust and support the delivery of the NHS long term plans. In return we offer a role that will allow the post holder to gain valuable wide-ranging experience, helping develop their own career, and help this trust deliver outstanding care to its patients.

About us

NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools. We also provide health services to various prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
