We are seeking an enthusiastic clinical fellow to join the department to provide patient care within the trust. You will work as part of the emergency department team.We will offer you a Study Leave budget of �1,000 per year which will help towards your Continuing Professional Development.We have x2 Senior Clinical Fellow posts available for a period of 12 months, available with immediate effect.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be encouraged to participate in audits, presentations, and teachings. Although, this post is not recognised for training the appointee will be encouraged in their training and development within the role.

Job responsibilities

  • Initial resuscitation and management of all emergency patients presenting to the department
  • Initiation of the necessary investigation of patients and the referral to the relevant on-call specialist team when indicated

Person Specification

Qualifications / Training

Essential

  • Hold a current licence to practice from the General Medical Council
  • MRCEM Exam


Desirable

  • Advanced Life Support Certificate or equivalent


Previous Experience

Essential

  • Recognition of and ability to undertake the initial management of, an acutely ill patient
  • Demonstrable interest in and comprehension of Emergency medicine
  • Experience of working in Emergency Medicine


Desirable

  • NHS experience
