We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join a busy team, with specific responsibility for providing financial planning expertise to aid the organisation in Operational and Strategic planning, alongside major business case development.

Main duties of the job

This role will provide the opportunity for the successful applicant to work in a large Acute Trust's Finance & Commissioning function, bringing varied and rewarding challenges daily. The post holder will be one of the organisation's financial planning experts. They will interpret national guidance and templates, support the development of internal financial planning timetables and work with colleagues in other directorates to develop clear links between financial planning, workforce planning and overarching strategic plans.

They will conduct scenario based financial modelling and ensure consistency and clarity on the annual budget setting processes. The post holder will need to be adaptable and be able to work closely with colleagues in all organisations and at all levels.
