Bank Staff Nurse - Band 5

Staffing Solutions provide motivated, reliable staff to cover temporary vacancies or shortfalls at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust (RUH).

Main duties of the job

NURSES/RMNs

The RUH is an acute hospital and our Bank staff are in-demand across wards and out-patient areas. For registered mental health nurses, the demand is with 1-1 support of patients throughout various wards as and when required, dealing with patients who have challenging behavior's.We are currently looking for both General Nurses and Mental Health Nurses to join our team. You will work in various locations throughout the Trust.

These shifts include:

Early shifts: 0700 -1300 or 0730-1330

Late shifts: 1400-2000

Long days: 0700-1930 or 0730-2000

Night shifts: 1900-0730 or 1930-0800You will have to be qualified with the appropriate NMC registration and have relevant acute hospital nursing experience.

Qualifications & Training

Essential

  • NMC Registration
  • Able to evidence thorough and up-to-date knowledge of nursing theory and practice
  • 5 GCSE or equivalent
  • UK hospital experience


Desirable

  • Acute UK NHS hospital experience
  • Teaching and assessing


Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Good understanding of NMC code of practice
  • Able to demonstrate effective consolidation of nursing knowledge & practice


Desirable

  • at least 6 months experience in a hospital setting post qualifying
