An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our rotations the QEQM Hospital as a job share. The rotations include Surgical / ITU, Neurology (stroke at Kent and Canterbury), Hot Floor Discharge Team, Medical / Respiratory and Trauma and Orthopaedics. The successful candidate will work as part of a highly experienced, friendly team of a Band 7 Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist, Band 6 Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists and also rotational band 5s, Band 4s and support workers. A good range of Band 5 rotations is essential. The post holder will be expected to provide regular post graduate training within their clinical specialty and work alongside Band 7s to complete some departmental managerial duties.

Main duties of the job

Band 6 Physiotherapists work closely with all users of our services and their families, friends and carers who all play an invaluable contribution in how our users experience our services. Band 6 therapists are expected to be kind and responsive but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the services provided across the health economy by:
  • To manage daily a clinical specialist caseload within each of these rotationsand be responsible for the assessment, formulation and treatments and to give highly specialised therapy advice to members of the MDT.
  • To deputise for Team Leader on clinical and managerial issues within the team
  • To be actively involved with training within the Department

Each clinical area has friendly supportive teams where regular meetings, CPD and supervision is available
