An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team.

This is a key role to support the Director of Procurement Services and the Clinical Category lead as accountable MSEFT clinical workstream lead and responsible for MSEFT clinical procurement workstream lead respectively.

To assist with the implementation of the MSEFT Procurement Collaborative vision, mission, and objectives specifically linked to the MSEFT clinical procurement workstream.

This role will lead and support the MSEFT clinical procurement workstream through matrix working, to drive and deliver Best in Class procurement specific financial and quality outcomes through Integrated Collaboration across Mid and South Essex (MSEFT).

To achieve this, the role will be central to managing and maintaining relationships with internal and external clinical stakeholders in relation to MSEFT within the MSEFT Procurement Collaborative.

Main duties of the job

A key part of this role is leading and supporting across the MSEFT Procurement Collaborative and will entail the postholder developing and maintaining key relationships with counterparts across MSEFT partner organisations in particular, leading and supporting across MSEFT on key collaborative projects and plans that form part of the MSEFT clinical procurement workstream programme.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Current Nursing Registration with NMC
  • Post-qualification certification in one or more clinical specialities
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a nursing/health related field.


Desirable

  • Prince 2 Project Management qualification or equivalent
  • Masters level qualification or equivalent experience


Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Evidence of introducing best practice and demonstrate successful implementation and evaluation
  • Experience of leading risk management and risk mitigation plans relating to clinical procurement specifically experience of leading on ensuring and assuring that the Trust is not exposed to financial, service or reputational risk as a result of commissioning, procurement and contract management activities
  • Experience of implementing process efficiencies and change


Desirable

  • Experience of leading the development of clinical strategies
  • Commissioning, Procurement and Contract Management


Communication Skills

Essential

  • Able to develop and gain agreement on new methods of operation where peer group may have alternative views
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills specifically, the ability to write and articulate complex matters in simple language to appeal to multiple audiences

  • Excellent relationship management skills and experience
