Student Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Student Health Visitor Like working with families? - Get paid to train

This is a fantastic opportunity for nurses that enjoy working with children and families, and are passionate about their health and wellbeing. We're looking for people to join us from July 2023 as a band five student specialist community public health nurses (SCPHN) with a view to starting a 12 month training programme in September 2023. We provide an excellent learning environment supported by practice supervisorsand assessors who will support you to become fully qualified at Canterbury Christchurch University; all while being employed as a vital part of our friendly and professional team helping children to have the best possible start in life.

You'll be paid throughout your training and on successful completion you'll become a fully qualified band six SCPHN with a specialism in Health Visiting and lots of with opportunities to progress your career even further. We work in partnership with local services, children's centres and GPs on a challenging and rewarding caseload, and we strongly encouragecreativity and new ideas.

We currently have vacancies in Maidstone, Tonbridge and Malling and Swale.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration


Desirable

  • Practice Assessor/Practice supervisor


Experience

Essential

  • Minimum one year post registration post registration practical experience within the health care setting


Desirable

  • Experience of working with children and families within the community setting
  • Experience of leading and managing.
  • Managing own caseload,
  • Working in partnership with other agencies


Knowledge

Essential

  • Understanding of the National service framework and NICE guidelines and safeguarding relevant to care setting,
  • Experience of managing workstreams utilising evidence based practice,
