We are seeking an experienced and dynamic project manager to lead and manage a digital change project within the Department of Sexual Health in Cardiff Royal Infirmary.
The Department of Sexual Health is a busy department consisting of two main elements- a specialist HIV service and a Genitourinary Medicine service.
Both services use an electronic patient record (EPR) system which needs to be replaced. Over the next 12 months, the Department is looking to transition from the existing system into a new product and so we are looking for a Project Manager to support with the development of a new service specification and manage the procurement and implementation of the new Electronic Patient Record.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be required to work directly with the clinical team to scope and inform decisions as to the best replacement EPR system and then to manage all key aspects of the project under the supervision of the Locality Manager and with support from the Digital Team Programme Manager.
I working knowledge of UHB digital systems would be helpful but not essential, plus a working knowledge of any other IT systems used within Sexual Health Departments across Wales or in the UK. Previous experience of electronic patient record system development and implementation would also be important to the role.
