To coordinate and manage maternity services on the Delivery Suite at an operational level.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Midwife, who has a keen interest in all aspects of maternity care, to work as a Central Delivery Suite Labour Coordinator.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Midwife/Coordinator to join our established, award-winning team of Midwives based at Scunthorpe General Hospital.

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • oRegistered Midwife
  • oTeaching qualification or minimum sign off mentor
  • oEvidence of advanced continuing professional development within the specialty
  • oEvidence of clinical credibility and competency


Desirable

  • oFirst degree or working towards
  • oLeadership Development
  • oManagement qualification


Ocupational Experience

Essential

  • oPracticing Midwife with a minimum of 3 years' experience at Band 6
  • oPrevious significant Delivery Suite/ intrapartum care experience


Desirable

  • oExperience at band 7
  • oPrevious involvement in leading change to develop practice
  • oComplaints handling experience and/or training
