Medical Job Planning and Medical Workforce Advisor
Joining our team, you will have lots of opportunity to provide advice and support on job planning for medical staff across the Trust, and also other medical terms and conditions. You will be supporting the maintenance and monitoring of the e-job planning system including training staff. You will be responsible for ensuring that the e-Job Planning system is properly populated with job plans, and that the various stages of job plan sign off are completed by individual consultants and the Divisions within Trust agreed timelines.
This post is a focal point of contact within the Medical Workforce Department, and with a link to the Medical Directors office, working with all levels of medical staff across the Trust. We are seeking candidates who have knowledge and understanding of job planning for medical staff and medical and dental terms and conditions.
Main duties of the job
If this role is right for you, you will be customer focused and have the ability to develop good working relationships and personal credibility with Managers, Consultants and other medics at all levels. You will need excellent prioritisation, planning and communication skills, be pro-active and must have attention to detail. It is essential that you are able to work as part of a team or work on your own initiative.

JOB PURPOSE The post-holder will join the Medical Workforce Team to provide and contribute to a comprehensive and robust programme support service to the Head of Medical Workforce and Medical Director relating to the Trusts medical Job Planning process. They will also provide support and manage specific projects relating to medical and dental terms and conditions of service such as Local Clinical Excellence Awards and implementation of any contract changes for Consultants and SAS doctors. They may be required to support the Appraisal & Revalidation process for doctors in the absence of the Medical Appraisal & Revalidation Manager. JOB SUMMARY To work with minimal supervision, using own judgement to take instant decisions and to be accountable for own actions. To guarantee high levels of security and confidentiality of sensitive information relating to medical and dental employees sharing this appropriately. To take joint responsibility for the smooth operation of these processes and projects, including providing a range of administrative support duties. This job requires the post holder to communicate frequently with a wide range of medical and non medical professionals (internal and external to the organisation) and therefore experience and an understanding of dealing with complex, confidential, and sensitive information are required, using tact, persuasion and negotiating skills.
