Job summary
Due to the internal promotion of the current post-holder we are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for highly motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic pharmacists to join our team of pharmacists and medicines management technicians at Friarage Hospital.
You will act as a the deputy for the lead pharmacist.This is a challenging and dynamic role that will allow successful applicants to strengthen their clinical knowledge and expertise, whilst also enhancing their consultation and assessment skills. Additionally you will also be able to develop your negotiation, influencing, leadership and management skills. In doing so, you will be required to;
Main duties of the job
Services at the Friarage Hospital are provided by South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which also operates from The James Cook University Hospital in nearby Middlesbrough.
The pharmacy department at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will be dedicated to your development, supporting you in your new role with various internal and external educational opportunities available to help you further develop both your clinical and professional skills. The department hosts over 180 members of staff and provides a stimulating, friendly, and professionally rewarding environment for staff to develop their clinical expertise and professionalism.
The successful candidate will work full time hours 8.30am-5pm Monday - Friday, and will also be included in weekend and on-call rotas.

- Act as a positive role model for medicines management and medicines optimisation for pharmacy colleagues and other health care professionals,
- Utilise transcribing or prescribing skills effectively to enhance patient care and patient safety,

- Continually monitor performance and productivity, developing and piloting new ways of working to improve efficiency and patient outcomes,
- Be involved in the preparation of policies and procedures,
