The Physiotherapy Department is a dynamic, friendly and cohesive department. The team see immediate postoperative fractured neck of femurs under the orthogeriatric consultants as well as a mixture of general Trauma, and elective work. We are looking for a part-time Team Leader to work 18.75 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
This post provides an opportunity for an existing Team Leader or a Senior 2 with the relevant clinical and leadership skills to help lead a large team of staff within a busy service covering 7 days.
Flexible working is required covering the rostered 7 day service as well as staggered days and later finishes.
You will act as joint clinical lead for the service (with the existing Team Leader) whilst improving your managerial/ organisational skills and will be considered part of the departments management team and have support from a Superintendent.
This post will take on the trauma lead element of Physiotherapy, with involvement in the Trusts Trauma Care Delivery Group, Trauma Unit Peer Reviews and local rehabilitation networks.
Significant experience is required at band 6 level including working at that level in an Acute NHS Trust within Orthopaedics.
Excellent team working, communication and innovation are essential within this busy, dynamic service.
