Job summary

Senior Clinical Fellow in Intensive Care Medicine

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Senior Clinical Fellow who wishes to gain further experience of Intensive Care Medicine together with shifts working for the ACCESS transfer team.

We would welcome candidates from a wide variety of clinical backgrounds including Intensive Care Medicine, Anaesthesia, and Emergency medicine. Airway skills and Transfer experience are specifically required and therefore these posts would be ideal for any candidate wishing to gain experience in Intensive care medicine. You will be well supported by our dedicated team of 26 ICU Consultants. The ACCESS team is also supported please see the details in their advert.

We admit approximately 2000 patients each year and senior medical cover is provided by 26 Consultants, who provide a 24-hour cover worked in blocks to provide continuity of care.

The post is for 6-12 months, commencing August 2023 and is based at the Royal Free Hospital site in Hampstead, London.

Start Date: 2nd August 2023 onwards.

Education & professional Qualifications

  • Possession of MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
  • GMC Registration


Desirable

  • Working towards a postgraduate qualification


Experience

  • Experience in Critical Care Medicine
  • Successful completion of CT2/IMT2 year or equivalent

  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and willingness to be personally accountable for actions
  • Ability to build good relationships and work collaboratively with staff at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to relate to patients from a wide range of backgrounds and to empathise with their needs and concerns
