This is an exciting post for a Clinical Governance Support Officer who will have overall responsibility for providing an effective and efficient specialist administration service for the Women's Services Quality and Safety Team.
The post holder will be supporting staff in the delivery of high quality care, ensuring patient safety, providing support and advice in the management of incidents, clinical audit & quality improvement projects and ensuring that learning from incidents and audit is shared and acted upon.
The post holder will need to be enthusiastic and self-motivated and have experience in the provision and support of clinical audit, quality improvement and management of incidents of providing administrative support organising and taking meeting minutes using computer and data management systems to support and monitor activities. They will be responsible for providing efficient administrative support to the Quality & Safety team and will be able to work to time frames and have exceptional organisational skills. They will need to be flexible and have the ability to work as part of a team. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage own workload and priorities, including acting independently, ensuring absolute confidentiality at all times.

Main duties of the job
- Carries out the recording and tracking of compliance with Naton Institute Clinical Excellence (NICE) and high priority audit
- To ensure all quality and safety projects, audits are registered on the central database and maintains up to date records and action plans.
- Assists with the maintenance and recording of quality and safety data
- Supports and advises on aspects of clinical audit
- Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to input, validate and produce data from computerised systems to assist with planning and performance when required. Contributes to the maintenance of accurate audit activity databases e.g Maternity Dashboard and the Yorkshire and Humber regional maternity dashboard, providing written information when requested and submitted within agreed timelines.
- Produces monthly statistics from ESR g. mandatory training and appraisal reporting to inform of compliance
- As administrator, maintains and downloads guidelines to the Trust intranet and informs authors when guidelines are approaching review dates facilitating the circulation and approval process
- Ensures the recording and tracking of guidelines on the central database producing reports to inform of compliance
- Provide administrative support in the management of incidents, sharing of learning and monitoring of action plans.
- Organises and attends monthly quality and safety meetings for Women's Services recording attendance, taking and distributing minute
