Are you someone with experience of working in an IT support environment looking for the next step in your career and the opportunity to manage a team?

If so, we're looking for two Team Leads for our Client Devices team, who provide second line IT support to colleagues across the Trust.

The successful candidates will support the team to provide a high quality and professional second line support service. They will be customer focussed, forward thinking and proactive, continually looking for ways to improve and develop the service to ensure it meets the needs of colleagues. They will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to translate complex information so that it can be easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.

The teams are based on our two acute sites, and so one of the posts will be basedat Conquest Hospital in St Leonards and the other at Eastbourne DGH.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidates will line manage the Client Devices team (including recruitment, performance monitoring and holding monthly 1:1's and annual appraisals), be responsible for identifying any training needs and arranging training/mentoring where necessary and ensuring team members have a visible presence on our sites.

They will be responsible for ensuring that the team provides a professional, efficient, responsive and high quality service whilst achieving the expected performance levels as set out in our Service Level Agreements.

They will support the team to provide second line PC support, peripheral installations, and maintenance, ensuring that operational procedures are maintained and met. The postholders will undertake the more complex technical calls and support their team to effectively manage the ticket queue.

They will also work closely with other Digital teams, including our in-house Service Desk, Infrastructure, Network and Digital Programme Management Office (DPMO) to manage and agree job allocations, advise on user requirements and update on progress.
