Job summary
The appointment is superannuable unless the post holder chooses to opt out of the national health service superannuation scheme.
Short listed candidates will be required to complete a health statement and the trust may require a medical examination as a condition of appointment.
Because of the nature of the work of this post it is exempt from the provisions of section 4 (2) of the rehabilitation of offenders act 1974 (exemption order 1975).
Applicants are therefore not entitled to withhold information about convictions, including those, which for other purposes are \spent under the provision of the act and in the event of employment any failure to disclose such convictions could result in dismissal or disciplinary action by the trust.
Any information should be sent to the medical director in an envelope marked for his/her personal attention and will be completely confidential, only considered in relation to an application for positions to which the order applies.
The successful candidate will be expected in the normal run of his/her duties, on occasions, to deputise for absent specialist registrar colleagues on occasions.
Main duties of the job
Senior Clinical Fellow - Renal Medicine
The Renal Team are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Clinical Fellow for a Permanent appointment . The successful candidate will join a team supervising the care of a group range of patients with both renal and general medical presentations, as well as contributing to the general medical on call rota.
We ensure weekly learning opportunities and training sessions, with an expectation of contribution to both clinical meetings and journal clubs. The Department has an excellent reputation for education and for examination success.
The team supervise the care of patients with a wide range of Renal pathology, and support satellite dialysis activities to which the successful applicant will be expected to contribute.

- Full Registration with the General Medical Council
- Basic Medical Degree

- Overseas candidates must be able to demonstrate they have completed at least 3 years in General Medicine
